Local buses

Coventry
  • National Express Coventry runs frequent number 12 buses from Pool Meadow bus station in Coventry city centre to and from the University, via the suburb of Earlsdon. They pass along Warwick Road, a 2 minute walk from Coventry railway station.

    Some number 12 buses continue to Leamington Spa, so check the destination on the front of the bus to make sure you're travelling in the right direction. You will need exact change in coins. The adult one-way fare from Coventry city centre to the University is £1.60 at the time of writing.

  • The National Express Coventry 801 bus travels to the University Hospital at Walsgrave in eastern Coventry, via the suburbs of Cheylesmore, Finham, Whitley and Willenhall, and Binley.

  • A range of 20 W and UW local bus services is operated by De Courcey Travel in partnership with the University of Warwick.

    Covering a number of Coventry suburbs, discounted rates on the W and UW services are available for Warwick students and staff. A commercial fare is charged to members of the public.

Journey times within Coventry are usually under 30 minutes.

Kenilworth & Royal Leamington Spa
  • The Stagecoach unibus service U1 runs between Royal Leamington Spa and the University of Warwick. It also passes close to Leamington Spa railway station.

    The Stagecoach unibus service U2 follows a similar route, but also via Kenilworth.

    Stagecoach bus drivers give change from coins or low-value banknotes. The adult one-way fare from the University to Leamington is £2.30 at the time of writing.

  • National Express Coventry runs some number 12 buses from the University to Royal Leamington Spa, via Kenilworth.

    Many number 12 buses also travel in the opposite direction (towards Coventry Pool Meadow), so check the destination on the front of the bus to make sure you're travelling in the right direction.

Journey times to Kenilworth & Royal Leamington Spa are usually under 30 minutes.

Megabus services stop at Cannon Park shopping centre (5 minutes' walk from central campus), and Coventry railway station. Direct destinations include:
