WBS - the international business school
WBS is a truly international business school in terms of recruitment, teaching, research, and overall profile. Over a third of our 209 teaching and research staff are from outside the UK, while many British faculty members have taught overseas. Around half of our regular student body is made up of participants from 132 countries. The WBS Alumni Association thrives with thousands of members located overseas.
The University of Warwick International Office supports international participants during their time at WBS. The International Office also provides essential practical information prior to arrival in the United Kingdom. English language classes are available through the year for non-native speakers.
Our curriculum places considerable emphasis on international business training, and most faculty members have some overseas experience. We welcome many international visiting fellows each year whose presence enriches both teaching and research activity. WBS also offers many opportunities for international study.
We have an extensive network of teaching, exchange, professional, and special interest links with business schools around the world. We also hold institutional membership of a number of prestigious organisations, collaborative networks, and global alliances, including:
- ABS. An organisation which promotes business and management education, training, research and development, nationally and internationally, to improve the quality and effectiveness of management, entrepreneurship, and leadership.
- PIM. A global network of 53 highly-rated business schools, whose membership is by invitation only. It enables international exchange of postgraduate participants and faculty between member institutions.
- EIASM. An international network for management research and teaching.
- CASE. A professional organisation for advancement professionals who work in alumni relations, communications, and development.
- EABIS. An organisation committed to integrating business in society into the heart of business theory and practice in Europe.
- GMAC. Membership is by invitation only, and WBS is one of only five United Kingdom business schools to be represented. GMAC is a not-for-profit education association dedicated to creating access to graduate management and professional education. It is perhaps best known for administering the flagship Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT).
- Beyond Grey Pinstripes, The Aspen Institute. An organisation committed to preparing MBA participants for social and environmental stewardship.
WBS became the first British institution to gain accreditation from the three major international accrediting bodies:
