Information DesignThe Information Design team oversees two WBS web sites for external stakeholders. The WBS intranet and teaching & learning web sites at my.wbs are run by the Information Systems Support Unit (ISSU).

The central marketing web site for WBS is hosted on ISSU servers within WBS. There are well over a thousand pages of content, plus pages generated directly from databases for things like faculty contact and CV details, events, news, and module details for prospective students.
This site is entirely managed within MarComms, with copyediting, graphic and architectural design all carried out in-house to ensure consistency across the site.
With such a large site, we do rely on colleagues at WBS to notify us of changes which affect the published information as soon as they take place. We aim to make simple factual amends within 48 hours, and often sooner. More complex, or structural changes may take longer and will be scheduled as projects among other strategic developments.

Project, conference & group sites are hosted on the Sitebuilder system run by central University IT Services, which allows you to write and edit the content. We develop templates with you, and can advise on effective structuring of information and writing for the web audience. If you wish to create a new group site, please contact us.
