Partnerships with academia
Warwick Business School has global reach, with partnerships at a variety of levels, with academic institutions in the UK and abroad.
WBS co-operates on research projects with universities and business schools worldwide. Examples include the European Industrial Relations Observatory, for which the Industrial Relations Research Unit is the UK partner, working with institutions including the Universities of Amsterdam, Copenhagen, and Leuven together with specialist independent research centres across 26 countries.
Each year WBS welcomes international Visiting Fellows from around the world. Their presence enriches both teaching and research activity. Recent visiting fellows included Associate Professor Andrew Caverhill (Hong Kong University of Science and Technology), Dr Giovanni Radaelli (University of Milan, Italy), Dr Tapabrata Ray (University of New South Wales, Australia), and Dr Ron Watson (Rutgers University, New Jersey USA).
In research, we also have strong links with knowledge-sharing organisations such as the Academy of Management in the USA, where WBS faculty regularly attend conferences, and the Advanced Institute of Management, whose Director is Robin Wensley, former Deputy Dean and Professor at WBS.
WBS has close teaching links at all levels, with participants on the Warwick MBA studying at leading European business schools including Mannheim in Germany. The MA in International & European Employment Relations is taught in collaboration with several partner universities in Europe, for example Trier, Florence, and the Université des Sciences Sociales, Toulouse.
Warwick Business School has exchange agreements with 78 institutions worldwide, including an undergraduate exchange programme with Wharton Business School, and is a member of Partnership in International Management, the prestigious group of international business schools that fosters MBA exchange.
