Financial information

WBS is a department of the University of Warwick, with financial planning and management devolved to our own finance office since August 2003. Our annual turnover is almost £44 million, with projected growth of around 8 percent.

In 2008-2009, £3.5 million (8 percent) came from research grant income, £21.3 million (49 percent) from earned income programmes (including the Specialist Masters, Warwick MBA, Warwick MPA and executive programmes), whilst most of the remainder was from undergraduate and postgraduate courses funded by the UK government.

In 2006 an £9million extension of a phased expansion of WBS buildings and facilities opened. It provides a postgraduate teaching and IT centre, state-of-the art lecture theatres and seminar rooms, and 100 offices for staff. A future £20million expansion is planned for the near future.
