Carlyon Family's £3536 Fundraising Success
Six year old Dylan Carlyon, son of David Carlyon (PG Dipl Police Leadership & Managment 2009-10) has already raised £3536, inspired by his little brother Hari, who has hyper-mobility in his joints so that he cannot crawl or walk. Dylan and his family completed the Three Peaks Challenge in August in aid of the Noah's Ark Appeal for a local Hydrotherapy Pool. They are still fundraising and would welcome donations at JustGiving

Sanofi Pasteur MSD has appointed Dr Adrian Kilcoyne (DLMBA 2001-07) as medical director in the UK. He joins the company from Roche Pharmaceuticals Ireland, where he managed a team responsible for medical affairs, pharmacovigilance, regulatory affairs, medical information and clinical research.
Nikitas Pothoulakis (DL MBA 93-99) will take over on 1 September 2011 as the new CFO of Greek food conglomerate Vivartia Holdings SA. He is currently CFO and Deputy CEO of Sfakianakis Group.

Warwick graduate hosts Management Development Month on Ghana's Citi 97.3 FM
The Management Development Month is a four-week promotion for Ghana's Citi 97.3 FM that establishes a platform for business people to learn about practices and trends in management and to enable practicing business people to rethink the practice conduct and general management of their businesses. The series is hosted by the station's Operations Manager and Citi Breakfast Show anchor, Bernard Avle, who holds a 1st Class in Economics from the University of Ghana and an MBA from Warwick Business School.
Warwick Business Growth Network Learn from Shared Experiences
The Warwick Business Growth Network (WBGN) has held the first of its 'Member Hosted' events at Reabrook Limited, a privately owned company that produces and supplies products to many High Street companies under their own brand names.

Warwickshire-based Educational Charity seeks new Trustees
Deborah Watson (DLMBA class of 1998) is currently working for The Design & Technology Association, a small educational charity based in Wellesbourne, Warwickshire (patron: Sir James Dyson), which would like to co-opt 2-3 people with business experience onto their board of trustees. This sort of involvement is clearly a valuable addition to a CV and brings a different dimension to working life.

Born in the US, educated in the UK, current WBS FTMBA student and entrepreneur Will Skillman is bringing safe bio-fuel to homes in South Africa. While running a medical charity in South Africa, he hit on the market potential for a cheap and safe alternative to paraffin cooking oil.
Jack Broadley Runs Jerusalem Marathon for Local Charity
WBS alumnus Jack Broadley (MAOS class of 1999) recently ran the Jerusalem Marathon in 3 hours 52 minutes. He has raised £1,882.00 so far for The House of Hope on the West Bank and would be really grateful for any donations via his JustGiving page

Applied Innovations in Management: Introducing AIM Practice
The Advanced Institute of Management Research (AIM) has asked WBS to help publicise its latest initiative.
'The UK has over 120 business schools and these schools invest around £60 million a year on management research. Through their research, business school faculty generate a wealth of materials and ideas and yet it seems that managers often find it difficult and challenging to access these.
Already AIM has taken half a dozen different pieces of research and converted them into tools and techniques designed for immediate use in organisations.
