Alumni evening in Dubai review
In a stunning venue - a terrace bar on the 24th floor of the Jumeirah Beach Hotel - Sue Beech, DLMBA Programme Manager, hosted an evening event on 2 April on behalf of the WBS Alumni Association. As the sun set over Dubai city, over twenty WBS alumni and current students arrived to greet old friends and meet new ones. There was a great buzz as everyone made an effort to speak to each individual present, exchanging contact details and sharing experiences and memories of Warwick. Sue was particularly pleased to welcome Ajay and Larissa Menon, who met at Warwick on the FTMBA programme and are now very happily married.
Muhammad Qureshi (DLMBA 1998-03) reports: 'WBS alumni and current students got together to celebrate what could be the beginning of the WBS Alumni Association in Dubai. Sue Beech welcomed the very international body of current and past students to a very eventful evening.
'Many attendees welcomed the formation of a formal association and work is now underway to organise a meeting of interested volunteers and move things forward. Dubai is a very transient city filled with expatriates, who make up 80 percent of the population. Many are here for a fixed period of time before taking the next step in their careers. Stay tuned for the next update from the alumni association in Dubai.'
