WBS Alumni Association

Alumni discover how to raise their game

17 alumni attended the first Raise Your Game Masterclass in London last Saturday. One person flew in from Moscow, just to attend the event!

Hosted by Peter Shaw, executive coach and author of six influential books including Raise Your Game: How to Succeed at Work, the free workshop focused on enabling participants to become more influential, effective and ultimately more successful at work.

During the workshop, participants identified key ways to raise their game which included:
  • asking more of the right questions
  • using more intuition in decision making
  • using a structured approach to influencing-what are the shared values you have in common?
  • seeing mistakes and failure as learning opportunities
  • having confidence in change- don't feel like a victim, enjoy life!
  • showcasing your successes
  • building in periods of reflection and stillness into your life

The event received positive feedback from participants and comments included 'A great initiative', 'Content very good, the opportunity to share experiences/challenges with others was very valuable', 'A great day- participants very engaged which made the session all the more valuable' 'Very enjoyable and thought provoking with very appropriate topics'.

The Personal & Career Development Team is planning to repeat this event, along with online alternatives, every six months. Watch this space for more information on how to book your place!
