Charity begins ... by using your experience!

Deborah Watson (DLMBA class of 1998) is currently working for The Design & Technology Association, a small educational charity based in Wellesbourne, Warwickshire (patron: Sir James Dyson), which would like to co-opt 2-3 people with business experience onto their board of trustees. This sort of involvement is clearly a valuable addition to a CV and brings a different dimension to working life.
Deborah tells us,
"The D&T Association is going through a period of change, having recently lost significant amounts of government funding whilst campaigning to retain Design and Technology as a statutory subject for all pupils in the National Curriculum. So we are looking to co-opt a number of new trustees from the business world, for one year in the first instance, who could bring in specialist experience in the fields of management change/restructuring, fundraising or campaigning and who would be interested in advising and supporting us. The time commitment would not be onerous - we anticipate 2-3 days of meetings spread over the year and more regular communication by phone and email."
If you would like to offer your support to this educational charity, please contact Deborah directly, as soon as possible.
