2012 Mentoring Programme - applications filling up fast!

2012 Mentoring ProgrammeFollowing this year's successful Mentoring Programme, the 2012 Mentee intake process has begun. There has been a great response and it is set to exceed the School's expectations. The programme provides meaningful support and practical advice, helping members achieve greater success.

What is it ?
The Warwick Mentoring Programme is aimed at students and alumni and provides a fantastic opportunity to make use of the skills and experience of our Business School alumni to help you grow and develop. It provides one to one support to anyone wanting to develop their career, skills and experience.

Hear what some of our mentees have to say ...

"I joined the scheme at a pivotal moment in my career and looking for a new role. My mentor was a huge help in encouraging me to ask the right questions of myself and to focus on a long term plan. It has been great to reconnect with people at WBS."
A Strong

"To me, the best part of the programs getting to have open, honest, career-oriented conversations with a person outside of my work circle. I can feel assured that what I talk about, to a very senior business person, will not be colored by work relationships"
C Green

"It's great that WBS provides access to a pool of sage mentors. It really helped me in my decision making and during difficult situation to have an independent view from a mentor. Being able to tap into my mentor's wealth of experience is a big asset to me."
U Bettag

What are the Mentoring Programme's benefits?
This truly valuable programme offers mentees a mentor for two years and includes the following:

  • Selection and matching process provided by the Steering Committee
  • Dedicated personal mentor
  • Induction/Networking event (Year 1) - a face to face introductory meeting with individual mentor, or a steering group mentor or wbs Live induction session
  • Annual face to face networking event on campus (Year 2)
  • Access to an online toolkit/case studies post matching

If you are accepted, the one-off subscription fee of £200 covers the costs of the face-to-face events, the administration of the application process and the cost for developing materials such as the online toolkit, associated with this programme. That's less than 30p per day to change your life!!

How can you apply?
Apply - Mentoring ProgrammeTo apply, go to the Mentoring Programme Application and complete the online form. With a restriction on numbers, early applications are strongly advised.

Interested in becoming a Mentor?
Whilst the Mentoring Programme offers excellent benefits to mentees, becoming a mentor has proved most enlightening to our existing mentors. They have discovered that it is a two way street and it has surpassed their expectations.

Take a look at Becoming a Mentor. Interested? Contact Donna Curtis to register your interest or to find out more. We look forward to hearing from you.
