THE MBA: WHAT'S THE IMPACT?

DLA MBA alumna Dr Tripthi Matthew's MBA dissertation/thesis (which
was awarded a distinction) has been accepted for publication and presentation at the 4th International Conference on Education, Research and Evaluation (ICERI 2011), November 14-16, 2011, Madrid, Spain.
According to the abstract. the purpose of her research was to: 1) determine the impact of MBAs on Global Businesses 2) evaluate the influence of Global Businesses on B-Schools/MBAs and vice versa 3) identify some of the market forces that are driving Global Businesses 4) identify some of the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) facing Global Businesses.
This research is relevant due to criticisms of Business Schools recently, some within the B-School world. The "Impact of B- Schools Committee" in 2007 was created by AACSB to examine the overall impact of B-Schools on Society.
The findings of the four e-surveys (Business, B-School, Student & Alumni) indicate a positive impact of MBA on businesses, professional life/career, and personal life.
