Austin Brady (DLMBA 93-98) has recently joined The Woodland Trust as head of conservation.

He has worked in forestry, recreation, environment and land management in the public and private sectors in England, Scotland and Australia over the last 20 years.

During a long and successful career with the Forestry Commission, which included holding the key posts of Forest District Manager and Regional Director for the East Midlands, Austin gained extensive experience of working with government departments and agencies and with the private and voluntary sectors across a range of social and environmental issues. He has worked alongside Natural England, the Environment Agency and the National Park Authorities, as well as with many other conservation and third sector bodies, individual major landowners and their representative bodies.
