ABOUT WBS MENTORING PROGRAMME
The WBS Mentoring Programme is a 2 year programme, launching on Friday 23 March 2012 at Warwick. There are remote inductions for those unable to get to Warwick.
What is it ?
The Warwick mentoring programme is aimed at graduates, students and alumni and provides a fantastic opportunity to make use of the skills and experience of our Business School alumni to help you grow and develop. It provides one to one support to anyone wanting to develop their career, skills and experience.
What are the Mentoring Programme's benefits?
This truly valuable programme offers accepted mentee applicants a mentor for two years and includes the following:
• Selection and matching process provided by the Steering Committee
• Dedicated personal mentor
• Induction/Networking event (Year 1) - a face to face introductory meeting with individual mentor, or a steering group mentor or wbs Live induction session
• Annual face to face networking event on campus (Year 2)
• Access to an online toolkit/case studies post matching
If you are accepted, the one-off subscription fee of £200 covers the costs of the face-to-face events, the administration of the application process and the cost for developing materials such as the online toolkit, associated with this programme. That's less than 30p per day to change your life!! Our mentors themselves are all volunteers.
How can you apply?
To apply, go to the online Mentoring Programme Application and complete the online form. The answers given will be used to help with the matching process.
NB: Strict deadline for additional spaces is Monday 6th February, 12 noon.
About Mentors and Matching
All WBS Mentors are volunteers. They will be at least 5 years older than their mentee, typically this is more. Our mentors come from a wide background covering a variety of disciplines and industries. The matching process will align your goal objectives and the skills you wish to develop, with the mentor's experience. Whilst we will consider industry and geography we cannot guarantee a mentor to be from your industry nor one that is geographically close by.
