Postgraduate Award in Strategic Leadership

"Leaders must encourage their organizations to dance to forms of music yet to be heard."

Bennis, W. (2010) Still Surprised: A Memoir of a Life in Leadership, Jossey Bass.

Our Postgraduate Award in Strategic Leadership is designed for managers who are looking for fresh ideas and approaches to organisational, collaborative challenges. Join us to enhance your leadership skills, improve your organisation’s current practice, and develop strategy to cope with and implement change.

You will study four modules, each lasting two days, and apply the principles back to your workplace as you go along. Examining your current practice as a manager and a leader, you will equip yourself to become a more effective and dynamic leader.

You will focus on three key themes: Leadership, Change and Learning.

Leadership
Challenge key assumptions about the role of leader. Look at the expectations that are placed on you, the relationship between authority and leadership, and the organisational norms in which you practice your leadership.

Change
Develop an understanding of how the behaviour of a leader can affect the implementation of collaborative change in the workplace.

Learning
Learning is often a rare commodity in organisations but it is the single most important factor in determining a business's effectiveness. Discover how to encourage and drive learning in your organisation.
