The Boomers and the Sandwich - why changing demographics will impact us all

Are you a baby boomer, of generation X or Y, or just part of the emerging sandwich stuck between aged relatives and a young family?

Post 1945 demographics are changing the way the world will be with more aged over 65 than under 5 globally. This seismic shift will change the way we look at everything from healthcare and retirement investment to product design and social networking.

There are significant issues emerging quickly but at the same time opportunities.

Alistair started his career as a sales and marketing graduate for Kodak and has held a number of strategic, business development and operational roles for ICI, KPMG, Halfords and Reuters.

Since leaving WBS he has spent most of his time working in healthcare for Boots and more recently Bupa in both provision and service businesses. He was Managing Director of Bupa International providing cross border insurance for, amongst others, 'relocating retirees'. He was also the Managing Director of Bupa Care Homes in the UK running a chain of over 300 care homes and has also held non executive roles for Bupa Egypt and Bupa Denmark.
