Warwick Executive Network: Innovating through 'design thinking'

Innovating through ‘design thinking’ is part of the Warwick Executive Network series and will be held on 13 May 2016. This represents an opportunity for members to benefit from sharing new perspectives and ideas to give real business benefit.

Innovating through ‘design thinking’

Over the past decade, an increasing number of companies have greatly benefited from a ‘design thinking’ approach to innovation and problem-solving. Examples range from Procter&Gamble to Tesla, from Apple to AirBnB, to a wide range of SMEs. Design thinking consists of several elements: exploring and reframing problems; asking ‘what if?’ questions; adopting a user-centred point of view; experimenting during the product / service development process; and tolerating ambiguity and failure. This approach has led to some of the most innovative and successful services and products around us.

In this workshop we will first consider examples of  design thinking, and we will then apply it to your own context in order to identify how to develop distinctive, innovative and desirable offerings.

This workshop is part of the Warwick Executive Network series and is open to Network Members.
