Financial Crime: Staying Ahead of the Criminals

The Warwick Finance Professional Network are holding an event on Financial Crime.

Crime is a growing concern for all financial institutions. From the largest global organisations to the smallest companies, preventing and detecting Financial Crime is rapidly evolving to be one of their biggest challenges.

Increasingly this results in financial institutions coming under intense regulatory and media scrutiny as they grapple to mitigate monetary losses, protect their brand and reputation, bolster employee morale and ensure continued regulatory compliance.

Tackling Financial Crime should be considered as important by us all, because it has proven extreme societal impacts ranging from terrorism financing to human trafficking.

WBS are bringing together a panel of industry leaders, chaired by Andrew Clark, EMEA Head of Financial Crime at PwC, to explore the big questions in Financial Crime:

  • What are the challenges faced by industry?
  • What solutions exist?
  • Where will the criminals focus next?

Panel Chair: Andrew Clark, EMEA Head of Financial Crime at PwC

Andrew specialises in the investigation and prevention of Financial Crime in the Financial Services sector. His experience covers the full spectrum of Financial Crime issues and he has assisted clients with matters involving fraud, management impropriety, Anti-money laundering, Market Abuse and rogue trading, data compromise, and bribery and corruption.
