This year represents a significant milestone for WBS as it celebrates its 50th Anniversary. WBS has always been an innovative and forward-thinking school and this is the ideal time to look at how we shape the next 50 years.
We are delighted to announce that we will be hosting Kevin Wall, Chief Executive Officer of Barclays Bank Ireland, for his lecture in our Business Leader Series. Kevin's lecture will cover:
- Tips on what senior leaders look for in people
- Europe - post-Brexit challenges and opportunities
- Banking Sector - changes in the sector and leadership challenge
Kevin graduated from Warwick in 1981 with a BSc Hons in Accounting and Financial Analysis. He joined Barclays on their international graduate programme. Over the course of his career he has worked in London, USA, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore and Dublin. Whilst the majority of his career has been spent in client facing roles in Investment and Corporate Banking he has also spent time in Human Resources, Strategy and Treasury Management. He has recently been appointed CEO of Barclays' Irish business which is the Group's platform for its post Brexit European businesses. Prior to this he was Chairman, Corporate Banking and a Vice-Chairman, Investment Banking based in London.
He was until recently a non- executive director of Which? and trustee director of the Barclays Pension Fund. He is a non-executive director of the Business Growth Fund.
