WBS has always been an innovative and forward-thinking school and this is the ideal time to look at how we shape the next 50 years. Speaker Biography
Chris J Murray grew up in Leicestershire before obtaining his degree in Pure Economics from the University of Warwick. He spent his professional career in the energy sector and in addition to being CEO of three companies headed the Commercial, Operations and Asset Management Directorates for National Grid. With a fierce focus on maximising people’s effectiveness Chris believes in "doing the right thing in the right way" so as to optimise business effectiveness whilst helping others along the way. In May Chris was announced as the UK gas industry "Leader of the Year for 2017."
Chris is a Non-Executive Director of Mutual Energy, Special Adviser to the Energy & Utility Skills Board and President of the Energy Industries Club. Chris is also a past Chairman of National Grid Gas plc, National Grid Electricity plc and National Grid Gas Holdings.
