Rachel Leach, European Business Director, Germains Seed Technology

After completing the CIPS qualification, Rachel moved to TwiningsOvo to work as a buyer in the materials procurement department. Rachel loved the opportunity to deliver savings for the business, simply by working to understand the makeup of cost, and deconstructing the supply chain to unlock cost.

Rachel then moved to Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, to head up the European Packaging team, working across five EU sites. From leading the Global Packaging Strategic Sourcing team, Rachel expanded her knowledge and experience of managing teams across geographies and cultures.

This allowed Rachel to move into the central Procurement team for Associated British Foods, where she headed up the global team for Packaging across the Group. It wasn’t long before Rachel then moved back to TwiningsOvo, as the Supply Director – Procurement & IM. Rachel led the Global Procurement team to ensure supply security and cost management as well as managing the Supply Chain across TwiningsOvo International Markets remit.

Over the last year, Rachel moved to Germains Seed Technology, to take on the role as EU Business Unit Director, where she is leading her team and implementing the business unit strategy for future positive growth.
