Biography
Joćo (John) is Associate Professor of Information Systems at Warwick Business School, where he has been since 2006. His research focus on the organisational use of technology with an emphasis on communication, collaboration and more broadly digital work. He teaches the Management of Digital Workplaces at MSc and MBA levels.
He is a founding member and currently Associate of a global benchmarking organisation, the Intranet Benchmarking Forum. He co-authored and manages the benchmarking model used to compare the performance of the intranets of more than 60 large organisations.
In the past John has had some high profile roles in the industry. He was Director of New Technologies for the Conservative Party for two years during the general election campaign in 2001. Prior to that, he led the implementation of a large call centre in a top bank in Portugal (1999-2001) and the implementation of one of largest ticketing operations globally for the World Expo 98 in Lisbon (1996-1998).
