Financial Options Research Centre

The Financial Options Research Centre (FORC) was established in 1989 to bridge the gap between leading academic work on financial markets and the needs of practitioners, particularly those concerned with derivative instruments and risk management. The centre manages a highly focused research programme and provides an important resource for practitioners in this area. It employs four researchers funded by Corporate Members and an ESRC grant.

FORC's research policy is to identify and work on those topics of the greatest importance at the boundary between academic research on derivatives and its applications in the market place. It forms part of the (Opens in a new window)Warwick Finance Research Institute. The centre runs regular research seminars and an annual conference, and produces research pre-prints and a Newsletter. The research programme is managed in a structured yet flexible way. It is regularly monitored and reviewed by the Corporate Members.
