Warwick Organisation Theory Network
The Warwick Organisation Theory Network (WOTNet) has been created to support and promote the critical, interdisciplinary, and expansive study of organising. It is made up of a group of organisational theorists based at WBS who seek to promote organisation theory through a range of events, publications, and other activities.
WBS has a long and celebrated history at the forefront of developments in organisation theory. We have long-standing links to Europe's premier journals in the field including Organization Studies, Organization, and Ephemera. We also offer an MA in Management & Organizational Analysis as part of our Specialist Masters Programme, and have a group of internationally recognised scholars in the various sub-fields of organisation theory.
WOTNet seeks to challenge orthodoxies and contribute to a forward view of how organisations are developing drawing on a broad view of the constituencies that relate to organisations. It draws strongly on a range of social science disciplines across the whole of the University of Warwick, including sociology, philosophy, cultural studies, psychology, economics, history, and geography.
WOTNet is pushing the ideas of organisation and organising beyond traditional boundaries towards ideas of organising as a fundamental activity of social life. We are exploring organisation in many ways, for example: organising identity, organising knowledge, organising gender, organising space.
