Subject areas

Through their consultancy and research, the 198 academic staff at WBS are closely in touch with business, industry, and government. Their research and teaching is always current and topical, and ensures our students and participants get the global perspective.

The teaching staff is organised into subject groups, covering the broad disciplines of business and management and providing hubs for research activity. Each group is made up of academic faculty members and doctoral students, creating a stimulating environment for collaboration, with regular meetings and seminars to discuss the latest knowledge.

You can get an idea of the breadth of research at WBS just by looking at the titles of projects being undertaken by students on our Doctoral Programme right now.

Many academic staff are also members of more focused research centres, wider initiatives, and specific research programmes.
