Fourth year running for exchange visits with Indian delegates

In April this year, a group of Warwick MBA students visited the prestigious Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA) on an exchange visit.

Warwick Business School has now returned the hospitality, as 24 delegates arrived from IIMA last month for a two-week module - part of the International Immersion element of their Postgraduate Programme for Executives, a one year full-time Executive MBA. The module aims to give a solid understanding of business in Europe and the challenges facing British businesses. This is the fourth year in which IIMA delegates have visited WBS.

WBS graduates and Board members generously invited the group to visit their places of work, including Birmingham International Airport, DCS Europe, Prodrive, and Rolls-Royce Plc. (see photo below taken at DCS Europe, based at Stratford-upon-Avon).

Maitreya Yadav, IIMA group representative, expressed his satisfaction with the exchange visit, "The IIMA International Immersion Program at Warwick Business School provided a unique perspective of the way business is done in the EU with focus on UK and India. The professors and the support staff did a terrific job of compressing all the relevant topics in a short span of two weeks. The four industrial visits were very exciting and provided a lot of business insights."

Professor Qing Wang, WBS Associate Dean for Internationalisation, commented, "I am delighted to see that our relationship with IIMA has gone from strength to strength and we continue to receive excellent feedback from the delegates. Thanks for the excellent effort from the Warwick Executive MBA team, in particular to Assistant Dean Derek Condon and Sam Brook. Going forward, WBS is planning to offer bespoke immersion programmes to other partner schools on a reciprocal basis, including Guanghua School of Management of Peking University in China."
