WBS students win Warwick Advantage Gold Awards

Kostas MavroulakisThe Warwick Advantage Gold Award is to enable students who have put considerable time, passion and dedication into a particular activity, beyond their own studies and over a sustained period of time, to be publicly acknowledged for their achievements.

Applicants are required to submit entries including details of activities and achievements, such as working with societies, sports clubs, campaigns, committees, volunteering, events and everything else that isn't degree-related, and to show how these demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills, helped their community, and contributed to their own personal development.

This year's 18 Gold Award winners were recently announced and presented with their Awards by the Vice-Chancellor.

Of the 18 winners, eight are from WBS studying single or joint subjects, or have studied modules at WBS. They are:
  • Isaac Acquah, final year Computing and Business Studies
  • Gurvir Ahluwalia, final year Computing and Business Studies
  • Andre Hackett, 3rd year Engineering and Business Management
  • Christian Hampel, 2nd year Management
  • Kostas Mavroulakis, 3rd year Computing and Business Studies
  • Stuart Murty, 4th year International Business
  • Abhishek Shah, 4th year Civil Engineering with Business Management
  • Divya Surana, 3rd year Engineering and Business Management.

A further 11 WBS students were placed in the category of Main Award Winners.
