Awards and Promotions for WBS staff

Awards
Bob Johnston, Professor of Operations Management and WBS Deputy Dean (Operations & Finance), was presented with two publishing awards while attending the QUIS Service Conference at Wolfsburg in Germany, for which he was one of 4 co-chairs.
The biennial QUIS event brings together the best interdisciplinary academic research and management practice in a forum to advance the study of service management, service leadership, customer management, technology in services and delivery of service quality. It attracts leading researchers and executives from all over the world.
Bob's awards were both in the category of Highly Commended Award Winner under the Emerald Literati Network, 2009 Awards for Excellence. They were for his journal articles Internal service - barriers flows and assessment, published in Journal of Service Management, and Exploring strategy-misaligned performance measurement published in International Journal of Productivity and Performance Management.
Promotions
Three members of WBS faculty are to be congratulated on their recent promotion.
Juergen Branke of the Operational Research & Management Sciences Group and 
Qing Wang of the Marketing & Strategic Management Group, have both been through the University's promotion panels and have been promoted to Full Professor.
Zoe Radnor of the Operations Management Group was promoted to Associate Professor (Reader) earlier this year.
