Local Girl is Awarded Top Prize from Top Business School

Michelle Bloom from Droitwich, Worcestershire has been awarded the Red Cell Challenge course prize for the leading business studies student taking the Warwick Business School Advertising and Marketing Communications course.

Course tutor, Dr Lyndon Simkin presented Michelle with a silver plaque, a bottle of champagne and a cheque for £250 on the same day that she heard that she had achieved her BSc degree in Management Sciences from Warwick Business School..

Dr Simkin said, "Michelle has earned this prize, she has put in the extra effort in addition to achieving one of the most sought-after business studies degrees in the UK. Apart from the prize I know that the award will be a useful addition to her CV."

Red Cell forms part of the giant global Marketing Communications agency WPP. Its CEO, John Wringe was formerly MD of the leading locally-based agency Cogent and he regularly returns to the area where he delivers lectures to students at Warwick Business School.

Michelle said, "This award confirms that after all the hard work, I have made the correct choice. I am pleased that I chose Warwick Business School, it was a challenging course but this degree will be a great boost to my career and enhance my employment prospects. The plaque will be a great reminder of my time at WBS, the champagne will not last too long and I am going to give the cheque to my mother to help towards a holiday."
