RAE confirms Warwick Business School in top 3 in UK

It has been announced today, Friday 14 December that Warwick Business School (WBS) has gained a 5 star rating in the Research Assessment Exercise, one of only three business schools to achieve this, the highest rating. It achieved this quality on a magnitude unmatched by any other UK business school through submitting the greatest number of faculty for assessment under the Business and Management Studies section. Professor Howard Thomas, Dean of WBS says, "This is tremendous news. Warwick is a research led institution and this outcome should lead us to strive for even greater excellence in the research field over the next five years. We are proud to be a leading edge business school in which research, and its anchoring in the Social Sciences tradition, are core values of WBS." "I also see this as a great encouragement to all of our corporate partners who now have tangible evidence that they have chosen the very best institution to provide their management education," he added. The RAE announcement confirms the status of WBS as a leading global business school, and is consistent with the Financial Times ranking, where the WBS Doctoral programme is in the top three in the world.

One of Europe's largest business schools and the largest department of the highly-rated University of Warwick, WBS is fully accredited. Our teaching is rated excellent and 75 percent of our research is rated at 3* and above, placing us 3rd in the UK.
