WBS Sign Up to Develop Future Police Leaders
The signing of the contract for the delivery of the revised High Potential Development Scheme took place on Wednesday 28th January at the Police College at Bramshill in Hampshire. Following a rigorous tendering process the National Policing Improvement Agency selected Warwick Business School to jointly prepare and develop its programme for future police leaders.
83 delegates joined the programme in the first cohort which includes a postgraduate diploma qualification, job placements and the opportunity to progress to a masters qualification.
Chief Constable Peter Neyroud, Chief Executive of the NPIA said 'The contract represents a very significant investment in police leaders of the future. We are delighted to appoint Warwick Business School, who have an outstanding reputation for the quality of their teaching and learning, to assist us with the design and delivery of a leading edge product to this key group of people.'
Professor David Wilson, Deputy Dean of Warwick Business School said "Warwick Business School is delighted to work in partnership with the NPIA in this ambitious programme to prepare and strengthen the future leadership of the UK's police service. Warwick has 20 years experience of work with senior public managers at all levels of government and across a wide body of public and voluntary sector services. We are committed to ensuring that this new Warwick Diploma and Masters in Police Leadership is not only intellectually stretching but also helps to improve the quality of policing at the front line."
