POMs in the Community
Latest press releasesOne of Warwick Business School's POM (Practice of Management module - part of the Warwick MBA curriculum) group has been working with Westwood, one of Warwick University's most local schools to help them with an initiative to improve community involvement, cohesion and social responsibility in an area which has undergone many changes since the 1950s.
Krista Higgins speaking for the group said, "POM is a worthwhile module as it taught us to work in a cross-cultural and multi-disciplinary group. The lectures accompanying the project provided the tools necessary to further develop our interpersonal, communication and leadership skills. We gained project management experience and insights into the non-profit sector, which most of us have not worked in previously."
