Dean announces 2010 departure
Howard Thomas, Dean of WBS, has announced his date of departure after nine years of remarkable growth in the structure, facilities, reputation and size of the school.
Professor Thomas will leave Warwick Business School in January 2010. In his address to the school assembly, Thomas said, " When I came to WBS as Dean in the summer of 2000, it was on the understanding that I would serve for a term of ten years. Currently I have served nine years of that term.
I would like to emphasise how very much I have enjoyed my tenure as Dean. I feel pride in our collective achievements and have made many friends here, in the University, and in our extensive alumni and advisory constituencies. I shall always be a loyal alumnus of WBS."
"In the meantime, I will continue to work hard to promote and achieve the objectives of WBS in these difficult times for global business."
Our two deputy deans, Professors David Wilson and Bob Johnston, are working with the Vice-Chancellor of the University in the international search for a successor to take WBS to the next stage of its growth.
