Outstanding Citizen
In this category, we acknowledge the individual effort that particular alumni have made towards the School's activities and the role that they have played in supporting their fellow students throughout the programme.
For the Executive MBA, the award went to Svetlana Karpova, who has been an enthusiastic supporter of the MBA recruitment events, talking to prospective applicants. As a student, she was extremely conscientious with a strong sense of responsibility and teamwork. She continues to support our promotional activities in her native Russia.
James Savage was given this award for the full-time MBA, for his mentoring role amongst his peers and for playing an active part on the Staff-Student Liaison Committee during his time at Warwick.
For the distance learning MBA, the award went to Eleni Patra, who also had a role on the Staff-Student Liaison Committee, representing the views of her fellow students to the School. After being nominated by her peers, she won the Student of the Year award in 2008 and was an active member of the team who founded the Women of Warwick group.
