Scholarships for the Disabled - and Carers

Warwick MBA Scholarships for Students with Disabilities or for Carers.
Donations by Warwick Business School's "Friends of WBS" have led to two awards being offered for MBA applicants in 2010 who suffer with long-term disabilities.
One of the awards is intended for applicants who are interested in studying on the School's highly rated distance learning programme, there is a £2,500 award for a student with a long-term disability.
The second award will be available to applicants interested in studying on a full-time basis, where a £10,200 scholarship is available. This bursary is unique as it is not necessary that the applicant themselves has a disability, as the bursary will also be available to those who have a dependent child or partner with a long-term disability.
Ben Plummer-Powell, WBS' Director of Development and Alumni Relations explains the purpose behind the awards:
"Our donors felt that they wanted to ensure that the opportunity to study the Warwick MBA was available to the most talented minds from around the world. We recognise that finance is not the only barrier to study, but hope that with other academic and pastoral support services available as well, disabled applicants will be encouraged to come forward."
