WBS team win award in UIBS competition

team MoreThanStandardA team of WBS undergraduates calling themselves 'More Than Standard' were awarded £500 in the first ever UK Investment Banking Series Mergers and Acquisitions competition.

The team consisted of five members: Alexander Hogstrom, Elizabeth Yambem, Queenie Kuo, Rianne Schipper and Surojit Chakraverti. As a takeover target, they chose a US-based manufacturer of infant nutrition products: Mead Johnson Nutrition Company. After a day of pitching their ideas and being questioned by a panel of investment bankers from the competition partner, Morgan Stanley, they were pleased to be selected as the runners up.

"This is a further demonstration of the dynamism and creativity of our high-calibre WBS students. I should like to congratulate each member of the team on their achievement", said Professor Mark Taylor, Dean of WBS.
