Journal of Behavioral Decision Making increases its ISI impact factor

Archived Article • 13 July 2012 • Press release

The new Thomson ISI Impact Factor figures have just been released, revealing that the Journal of Behavioral Decision Making, whose founding editor is WBS Professor George Wright, has moved up 15 places since last year.

The Impact Factor of a journal is the average number of citations received per paper published in that journal during the two preceding years (more information here).

The Journal of Behavioral Decision Making, published by Wiley, is now 9th out of 72 titles in the Applied Psychology category, up 15 places from last year, when it was 24th out of 69.

Professor Wright comments, "JBDM is becoming more US-focussed in the origin of manuscripts that we now publish. Since the start of the year, author affiliations have included Carnegie-Mellon, Columbia, Cornell, Stanford and Wharton. Interestingly, though, two articles are in-press at JBDM from Warwick authors: one from Karen Melrose and Gordon Brown in the Psychology Department, and one from Christopher Olivola of Warwick Business School."
