Members of our group are presently involved in studies that address topics including:

• comparative institutional analysis
• leadership
• organisational knowledge and learning
• organising and sensemaking
• management of change
• ethics/power
• social movements
• trade unions
•  European social policy
• employee participation
• varieties of non-standard work and employment.

We welcome PhD applications from people wishing to study in these or other related areas.

We are presently working with a range of stakeholders, including business organisations, charities, the National Health Service, the European Commission, UK Police Forces, employers organisations, Trade Unions, NGOs and social movements. We welcome approaches from organisations and groups who wish to support or learn more about our research.

We have been extremely successful at generating research funding from the European Union, the ESRC, the British Academy and Leverhulme. We are active in running conferences (Critical Management Studies 2009; International Symposium on Process Organisation Studies, annual from 2009; Work Employment and Society 2013), conference sessions, seminars, andworkshops.
