Accommodation

Lakeside residences Warwick is a campus university, with over 6,000 rooms, all within 5-15 minutes walk of WBS. Some accommodation is en-suite; and some consists of study bedrooms with washbasins; there are traditional university halls, as well as flats, for between five and twelve students, with shared kitchens and bathrooms. Most rooms are for single occupancy. There are specific facilities available for couples, families, and students with disabilities.

New first year undergraduates, and new first year overseas postgraduates are given priority for campus accommodation. Highest priority is given to new students who have accepted an offer from Warwick as first choice and apply for accommodation by 31 July for arrival in September/October.

After the first year, students typically share a house or flat in nearby Leamington Spa or Coventry. Final year students can apply for campus accommodation via a ballot. If we are not able to offer you a room on campus, Warwick Accommodation (who look after the housing needs of all our students) will help you find a suitable place to live.

Campus rooms

Arthur Vick residenceHeating, gas, electricity, water, insurance, basic cleaning and a high speed internet connection are included in the rent and all residences are furnished and maintained to a high standard. All have resident staff who make sure that everything runs smoothly and look after their students' welfare.

The cost of on-campus accommodation varies depending upon the hall of residence. Prices start at around £2,200 for 30 weeks' let to around £4,500 for 39 weeks let (including Christmas and Easter vacations). Rent is split into termly amounts and is paid at the beginning of each term. Learn more

Off-campus

A residential street in CoventrySecond year and most third year undergraduates live off campus, mostly in the Earlsdon district of Coventry (around 3 miles away), or in Leamington Spa (around 9 miles away). Both towns are served by regular bus services direct to campus. Warwick arranges special travel rates with the local bus companies, who come on to campus at the beginning of the year so that you can easily buy a season ticket travel card.

Warwick Accommodation will help you find off-campus accommodation. The University manages around 450 houses (about 1,700 rooms) in Coventry, Leamington and nearby Kenilworth. We ensure that all properties meet local authority accreditation standards relating to health and safety, furnishing and maintenance, and that the rents are suitable for student budgets.

You can rent property from Warwick Accommodation with a group of friends, or you can ask to be placed in a group of Warwick students. Warwick Accommodation does not charge any fees for helping you find a place to live, and does not charge retainer fees when you have accepted a property. Learn more
