Career prospects

Targeting students at university is a tradition among big graduate recruiters. However, they still have 'target schools', universities where they particularly focus their effort. Included in this group are Oxford, Cambridge, Warwick...
Recruiters often run a number of events at 'target schools' including interview preparation classes and talks by senior bankers. These events are vital to potential candidates as they give them an idea of what to expect when interview day arrives.

We work very closely with the University's Careers Centre and run a substantial programme of careers advisory sessions. Previous years have seen a WBS Careers Symposium where advice was given about how to research companies, network, and present yourself effectively.

On completing our course, our graduates go on to work for a wide range of financial organisations (or organizations if you use US English) both domestically and internationally. They are in high demand in the City and international capital markets. They work as equity research or fixed income quantitative analysts, derivatives strategists, and as financial engineers. You can find them in areas including research, trading, risk and investment management, and corporate finance.

The list below is just a sample of what our graduates are up to all over the world.
