Putting Theory Into Practice
With extensive industrial links embedded in the course, our MSc in Information Systems Management & Innovation is a great introduction to leading companies and enterprise solutions providers. Our course is heavily focused on putting theory into practice. We work closely with industry experts to ensure you gain a real-life view.
SAP University Alliance
SAP is the third largest software provider in the world; SAP knowledge and experience is highly sought after by many employers including large professional services and consulting firms. The SAP University Alliances program keeps our faculty members up to date with the tools and resources necessary to teach you how technology can enable integrated business processes and strategic thinking.
Through hands-on experience with SAP solutions in the Enterprise Systems Development core module, you will learn how technology can empower a business across its key areas.
It is important to learn SAP within a business school environment like ours because a SAP implementation is fundamentally a business transformation project, as much as it is an IT project. It is critical to have a solid understanding of the business and organisational dynamics that are driving business transformation and shaping outcomes required from an enterprise solution, in addition to an appreciation of the user experience and functional design. We are best positioned to deliver precisely that; the deep, hybrid understanding of both business and technology issues - essential for facilitating the successful deployment of SAP or other enterprise systems in the contemporary organisation.
CIO Workshop
As part of the Digital Business Strategy and Social Media module in 2011-12 we have CIO workshop taught by Dr Corey Hirsch, CIO and VP of Facilities and Customer Care, LeCroy Corp. Dr Hirsch also has extensive teaching experience from Columbia University. The CIO workshop for MSISM is a very unique feature – it aligns with the module overall focus on critical and current business issues in the world of innovation and Information systems. It uses interactive and globally-relevant cases, individual challenges, and team exercises to give students a clear understanding of current issues which CIOs manage.
