MSc Management
Our MSc in Management will add business knowledge to your first degree. Gain a wide perspective on management and business issues and the organisational contexts in which they apply. Refine and build upon your communication, teamworking, and presentation skills through individual and group work. Develop your personal and professional skills in decision-making, problem-solving, analysis, and critical reflection.
If you want a general management postgraduate qualification, but don't have the work experience necessary for the Warwick MBA, this masters degree will enhance your employability.
If you have already studied management and business, or have more than 18 months' management/business work experience, you will not be eligible to apply. If you have studied disciplines related to management and business, you may be eligible, but only with a restricted range of electives.
I've an undergraduate degree in humanities, and the MSc in Management is allowing me to add a business dimension to my skill set. The teaching style here really accommodates our lack of previous business knowledge because this course is specifically designed for people who haven't studied business or management before.
No matter what job I end up in, it will virtually always be related to, or working in, a business environment. WBS is teaching me about how business works, from knowing what a balance sheet is, to understanding how modern firms market themselves, and has made me more comfortable and less intimidated by the world I am about to enter.
WBS is an internationally renowned school. I knew if I was going to do a masters I should go somewhere that would make it count. Students really need to add whatever they can to their portfolio of skills to face the difficult job market at the moment. I believe the MSc in Management has secured me interviews I would not otherwise have got.
