I landed a job before I'd even graduated

I landed a job before I'd even graduated, as a Management Consultant with Capgemini in Norway. It was nice to see that WBS was highly recognised and that they believe that my studies have given me something to contribute to the company.

I wanted to study something that had lots of career possibilities at the end of it, allowing me to choose from a range of occupations. I also wanted to study somewhere that people recognised. Professors from the Norwegian School of Management, where I had previously studied, recommended WBS to me.

The course is comprehensive: it demands extensive reading, as well as lecturers demanding high standards and dedication but there's a nice mix of lectures, seminars, and group work. The Organisational Analysis module [now Organizational Behaviour] was fascinating: everyday interaction and conversations in work and society, language - verbal and non-verbal - might seem common sense, but by studying it you realise the major dimensions of it, and appreciate the intricate knowledge you are gaining. It fed in to my project where I applied the theories and research to a live case study on interactivity.

I think the course has given me a broad perspective on organisational (or organizations if you use US English) issues, and especially the communication aspects, and it has definitely increased my confidence. Student feedback is really valued here, obviously as part of class discussion but also about ways in which to improve the course itself. We feel really valued. I have been blessed with amazing class mates and the course really creates a 'team spirit' which contributes to a rich social life and support network. I don't think you will find that in many other postgraduate courses.
