Scholarship opportunities
For 2010 entry, WBS is provisionally offering around £250,000 of scholarship opportunities. Final details are still being confirmed.
Scholarships are usually awarded to pay your tuition fee unless otherwise stated. Be aware that funding applications often have deadlines, some closing as early as February in the year of entry. The University's International Office and Graduate School also offer funding information.
Confirmed scholarships for 2010 entry
- MSc Management
- Friends of WBS Scholarship: £3,150 for one outstanding applicant. All applicants are automatically considered for this award.
- Any WBS Masters course
- Two scholarships funded by Santander Group for Ibero-American candidates. Applicants meeting the criteria below will be automatically considered.
- Academically exceptional students from Spain or Portugal will be awarded £3,000
- Academically exceptional students from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Columbia, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico, Uruguay, or Venezuela will be awarded £5,000.
- University-wide scholarships

- The Donald Bates' Bequest Fund. You must be a parent, applying for full-time study; maximum award £500.
- Commonwealth Shared Scholarships.
- Banco de México Scholarship.

- Two WBS Scholarships each of up to £5,330 to UK and EU students.

- Ten WBS Scholarships each of up to £5,000 to UK and EU students.
- MSc Finance & Economics
- Friends of WBS Scholarship: £9,180 for one outstanding applicant. All applicants are automatically considered for this award.
- MSc Financial Mathematics
- Two WBS Scholarships each of up to £8,825 to UK and EU students.
- MSc Information Systems & Management
- Friends of WBS Scholarship: £4,370 for one outstanding applicant from UK/Europe. All applicants are automatically considered for this award.
- MSc Management
- Six WBS Scholarships each of up to £7,000 to all students. All students are considered at point of application.
- MSc Management Science & Operational Research
- Friends of WBS Scholarship: £4,370 for one outstanding applicant from UK/Europe. All applicants are automatically considered for this award.
- MSc Marketing & Strategy
- Five WBS Scholarships of £3,900 to UK and EU students, plus ESRC 1+3 Studentships.
- MA Industrial Relations & Managing Human Resources
- Friends of WBS Scholarship: £3,045 for one outstanding applicant from UK/Europe. All applicants are automatically considered for this award.
