Get the best start to your career

Whether you want a career in the City or in academia, WBS is the right choice. We regard success in employment after the course as an important indicator of our effectiveness. There is an exciting range of career opportunities and enormous scope in the modern world for our graduates.

Careers

All of our postgraduates are encouraged to use the facilities and expertise of the University of Warwick Careers Service. Take advantage of their expertise and services including workshops, employer liaison, vacancy searches, information, and advice. WBS also holds occasional recruitment events where employers are available to discuss opportunities with our students.

One of the most effective tools available to you is networking with current and former students, many of whom will be working in senior positions throughout the world. Even before graduation you can become part of an active alumni community, attending events, both social and educational, in the UK and overseas. As an active association, it is about much more than a group of people who have passed through the doors of WBS. They all share a pride in WBS and value this experience. Currently, we have an active community of 20,000 graduates representing 121 countries across the world. They share one common experience: studying at WBS.

Our graduates go on to work all over the world in many and varied organisations. As well as the big Blue Chip companies you would expect to seek out our graduates, some of our students go on to set up on their own as consultants or running their own business. Studying with WBS gives you so much confidence that you can choose where your career goes next.

More details about the career paths of graduates from each course can be found within each course's pages.

Doctoral study

Some of our graduates choose to study for a PhD. The element of research required in all our courses lays excellent foundations for doctoral study. Our prestigious Doctoral Programme might be your next step, and sometimes funding can be arranged for both your Masters and your PhD at the same time. Contact us for further details.
