I didn't do it for a salary increase...
I think it is a common misconception that people only complete an MBA to obtain financial reward.
In my case, this was never a part of the decision making process.
For me, obtaining the Warwick MBA was more about the continued pursuit of knowledge and achieving a life goal.
I used to work for Hewitt Associates but I resigned and started my own business doing more meaningful work, managing a small English teaching business in Hong Kong and working with children.
I enjoy the difference that I am making to the children's lives and I don't envisage changing my work once I finish my studies.
The Warwick MBA has provided a notable contribution to my business and helped it grow significantly.
There are several modules that I can point to now and say 'Yes, that helped'!
WBS has allowed me to continue a profession that is more rewarding and enriching than the countless hours I used to spend in corporate board rooms.
While the financial benefits are not in the same ballpark, I wouldn't change my current situation.
