Funding

There are several ways of funding the Warwick MBA. Some opportunities are country specific. We recommend you arrange your funding as early as possible. Your application will not be delayed while you await confirmation.

Around 75 percent of our executive participants, and a third of distance learning participants, receive at least partial sponsorship from their employer. Some participants use a combination of scholarships, loans, and self-funded sources.

In addition to the WBS Scholarships that we offer, you could try raising funds from the following sources. Some are open to everyone, while some are country specific. The University of Warwick International Office also has information about scholarships and funding available for overseas participants.

Open scholarships & loans

The British Council has a wide range of scholarships available as well as offering general advice on funding your studies. Their web pages also have a searchable database of scholarships available.

Chevening Scholarships are funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and administered by the British Council. This scholarship is awarded to overseas students studying in the UK. If you are awarded a British Council Chevening Scholarship, you will be entitled to 20 percent discount from the usual tuition fee.

The Commonwealth Scholarships & Fellowships Plan (CSFP) awards in the UK are administered by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission, a non-Departmental Public Body established by Parliament. Government funding for awards comes from the Department for International Development, which supports awards for developing Commonwealth countries, and Foreign and Commonwealth Office, which supports awards for other Commonwealth countries. There are a number of different scholarships available.

The Education Fund will contribute to costs of living, tuition fees, and other costs to German speakers of any nationality. There are no fixed debts or interest rates. Repayment is income-contingent and starts only after completion of the studies and a successful job-entry. In the case of unemployment there is no repayment required.

The International Federation of University Women (IFUW) is an international, non-profit organisation of women graduates working to promote lifelong education, to improve the status of women and girls, and to enable women to effect positive change for a peaceful world. They offer a small number of awards are given for masters level studies.

The Inter-American Development Bank Japan-IDB Scholarship Programme offers a scholarship programme for students who wish to pursue a masters level degree in development-related fields such as Social Sciences, Business, Public Administration.

The Richard Metzler and Roland Berger AMCF Scholarships are offered in conjunction with the Association of Management Consulting Firms. The primary basis for selection are scholarship and a commitment to management consulting. Other qualities such as initiative, character, responsibility, and community service are also considered.
