Am I a suitable candidate?
The Warwick Global Energy MBA is aimed at professionals working within the energy industry. Our current classes includes participants from many areas in the energy field.
We welcome applications from many areas, including:
- Upstream and downstream oil and gas
- Coal and nuclear energy
- Alternative and sustainable energies
- Power generation, transmission, and distribution
- Retail
- Trading
- Services, design, and construction
- Financial institutions
- Regulators and policymakers
- Consulting, legal, and professional services.
Our normal minimum requirements for admission are:
- A good Honours degree awarded by a UK university, or an equivalent overseas, or professional qualification.
- At least four years, postgraduate, managerial work experience.
- Evidence of career progression, responsibilities, and achievements.
- GMAT is not required for this programme, though a good, balanced score may strengthen your application.
You will also need to be competent in the English language. If English is not your native language, and you have not been working in an English speaking environment for more than two years, you will need a language test. We accept both TOEFL, minimum score on paper 620, computer 260, or internet 105, and IELTS minimum score 7.
Individual consideration is given to exceptional candidates who do not have the academic qualifications but can prove their ability to achieve. We may ask you to take GMAT as an indicator of academic ability. However, since we place great value on sharing work experiences as part of the learning process, we do not accept candidates without the minimum work experience.
