Management in the Global Energy Industry
In this module you will review the business activities and individual challenges faced by the sectors within the energy industry. Whatever your background, this module will help you take a broader perspective across the industry as a whole.
Consider the interdependencies between sectors, as well as the overall challenges and opportunities. Discuss changes in management practice and regulation as well as the economic and political contexts. Bring your own experience from your function or sector within the industry and share the lessons you have learned with colleagues from across the industry.
You will work in a group on a business simulation that illustrates how risks and uncertainties have to be incorporated into the way managers guide a company. The simulation exercise will both bring to life a key part of the industry and illustrate the importance of effective teamwork in managerial decision-making.
