Operations
This module will introduce you to operations strategy and management with an emphasis on the energy industry. The focus will be on process organisations though we will also discuss learning outcomes from service and manufacturing organisations.
You will learn to appreciate the different nature of the tasks and issues involved in managing the production or operations function. Increasingly, companies can compete through their operations. To be able to do this, their operations strategies must both support other functional strategies within the company and provide a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
