International Strategies
This five day module is available at Mannheim School of Business, Germany
The internationalisation of firms is often the result of a piecemeal approach. By adopting a broad vision, formulating coherent strategic options and ensuring their successful implementation, firms can accelerate their international development and limit its risk. This course provides the required conceptual tools and approaches and aims at improving the participants' judgement in these matters.
The course will cover some of the major issues facing firms with worldwide operations:
- Understanding the geographic scope of competition and analysing the globalisation drivers in various industries
- Designing global value chains and maximizing global competitive advantage
- Formulating adequate entry strategies and adapting to local requirements
- Designing effective international organisations
- Managing strategic resources and processes in a multicultural context.
